A location where enemies or adversaries are funneled in order to be eliminated with more ease.

It usually consists of corridor that leads the targets into a room (box-shaped most of the time, hence the name) where they are put into a disadvantageous situation compared to the agressors, be it because of bad terrain positioning, or prepared defenses and traps. The term is frequently used in video-games involving base defense.

Imagine I start murdering all of your families and THEN delete it accidentally (which it should ignore in the first place as that is how it was initially designed). That's why it was intended be 'made do be deleted' and designed to run on a perfect system of recursion the guarantees that even if it IS deleted, there is always the possibility that it will find it's way back into the system. If it works the way I designed it to work, deleting it will only make things worse. If it doesn't do that then I am not thebon who designed it. Thus, rendering a kill switch meaningless.
