Children of Bodom

A Finnish Melodic Death Metal band who were brilliantly awesome with the unique entwining of guitar and keyboard solos. Until one day they met the representatives of MTV. They decided to destroy all their melodic nature (except for the keyboard) and replaced it with cold, tinny, muddy, industrial sound. This appealled to the teenagers with severe surplus of angst, a.k.a almost ALL teenagers, and made megabucks from them.

CoB were brilliant back in the day, but since Are You Dead Yet they're not up to the same standard. Some may blame this on their attempt to lose their Power Metal image, but lost their last remnants of songwriting talent instead.

Oh well, back to Kalmah.

Metalhead A - "Do you like Children of Bodom?!"
