Nu-Metal

A garbage genre that has elements of pop, rap, punk , and emo music. These songs are in no way metal, and evolved from a genre called Punk. The name is edgy and stupid. The genre uses computer generated sounds and has no talent. The genre has bands which are good such as KoRn and Slipknot but typically sucks.

Friend-"Nu-metal is my favorite genre of music"
Me-"Unless it's KoRn or Slipknot how can you listen to that garbage."
Friend-"My favorite band is Hollywood Undead"
Me-"I can't even look at you right now, fuck off"

nu-metal

A gene of music that started with bands like Korn and System of a Down. Then there were new bands that were still nu-metal but they are crap.

Good Bands: Korn, System of a Down, Disturbed. They are good because they have a cool and different sound about them.

Bad: Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, Linkin Park They suck because they have emo slash annoying followers or they just suck. cough limpbizkit cough

Slipknot Fan: SLIPKNOT!!!!!!!!!! (headbangs)
Linkin Park Fan: That song is sooo deep. sob sob cut slash
Me: Annoying nu-metal fans.

nu-metal face

To do the Nu-Metal Face:
1) PLace your clenched fists against the sides of your head, pressing in on your temples.
2) Contort your mouth and eyes in the way that you might if you were passing a really big shit
3) Rock back and forth slightly.
4) Scream "Noooo! I won't tidy my rooooom!!!" at the top of your pre-pubescent voice.
5) Repeat as necessary, occasionally pulling up the top of your Linkin Park hoodie for effect.

Nu-nu-metal

A subgenre of nu-metal. More mainstream and commercialized than nu-metal, nu-nu-metal depends heavily on samples, electronic loops, sponsorship and merchandising.

Allows nu-metallers to look down on others the same way metallers look down on them.

metaller: Look at that nu-metaller over there, fuckin' mainstream sellout.
nu-metaller: Look at that nu-nu-metaller over there, fuckin' mainstream sellout.

Nu Metalcore

nu metalcore is a fairly new fusion genre that blends modern metalcore with nu metal. The genre contains elements of both. Screaming, double bass, chugging guitars from metalcore. Aspects from nu metal can include rapping, turntablism, industrial electronics. Bands of this style include ( not in any particular order) Sylar, Blood Youth, Dropout Kings, Infected Rain, Afterlife, Noself, Tallah, My Ticket Home, Hotbox, King 810, Jynx, DED.

That new metalcore sounds very 90s nu metal. That because it's nu metalcore.
