durchwursteln

Based on the German words durch (through) and wursteln (to sausage),

Most likely it originated during sausage manufacturing.

It can be used in a combination of ways, most common usage would be in situations where an action is actively avoided, such as work or studying. It can be used to describe low effort attempts to complete tasks that are not fun, but have to be done anyways.

However it can also be used on corporate levels in situations like product marketing: "We will only use minimal funding for this product, it will some how durchwurstel itself against the competition".

I didnt study for my exams, I will have to durchwurstel myself.
