Jelly Bracelets

I always thought that Jelly bracelets were just cool and fashionalbly colored, rubbery bracelets that you can twist and bend. People like to consider them frendship bracelets and switch them for other colors. And all the meanings for the colors belongs to a game called "Snap" that college students made up and ever since too many younger kids believe in that stuff and actually go out and do it. But its your life and you can do whatever you want.. and by the way their just bracelets.

Everyone started to wear them at my school so I went out and bought some.Then we all found out the real meaning and all the guys want to rip certain ones, and when they do they say for example "Oh we've got to make out now!" but we dont take that stuff seriously and its considered a joke to us.

This is a plastic bracelet, introduced to the public in the mid 80's as a fashion acessory mainly worn by punks/goths/skaters.
I wore these bracelets as a little kid in the 80s and restarted wearing them when I was 13. I mainly wear black and the least i ever have on is 8.
I had never heard about the supposed 'sex game' until the other night when my friend's husband slid his fingers under the ones on my right arm and jokingly asked me what i would do if he broke them off. I was completely confused and he explained to me about this game. I then jokenly told him to go break his wife's bracelets before turning back to the movie we were all watching.

What would I do if someone broke my bracelets. Smack them for their stupidity then make them buy me more.

Bracelet Sleeve

When someone wears copious amounts of colored threaded bracelets, so much in fact, they seem to create a single piece of cloth (i.e. sleeve). The line inbetween just a bunch of bracelets and a bracelet sleeve usually is when the said amount exceeds about 3 inches up the arm.

Steve: Damn, look at that girl! She's got like at least 25 bracelets on that one wrist!

Alejandro: Steve, one more and shes got herself a bracelet sleeve.

jelly bracelets are worn from the people at my school(including me) we dont care if someone rips them off its just sumthing for them to lok forward 2......but i wouldnt do any of that they just think we would. i rly dont think its a big deal.....
