A person who is in a relationship with somebody who works in the hospitality industry (i.e. chef, restaurant owner, waiter, barman), who never sees them because they work unsociable hours (weekends, late nights etc), so much so that they may as well be a widow.

Harvest widow

To start off-to those of you who don’t know what “Harvest Widow” means, it does not mean our husbands died. It simply means that during harvest our husbands/significant others are always ‘missing in action’. Most nights are spent alone and most events attended by yourself.
