trevor-rig

A situation where someone, despite how kick ass and all that they pass themselves off to be, has the unique ability to destroy something every time they touch it...
The intention to destroy is not there, but generally anything they touch to modify, fix, show off by demonstrating how "tough" it is or just to twiddle with it... becomes inoperative.

He trevor-rigged the stereo and now it won't turn on.

The actual term is Jury Rigged, but as always we just started changing it when no one knew that. It means fixing something with whatever is on hand.

When someone obsessively and methodically secures an object, home, shed, camper or house boat with several locks (or screws) so that it’s impossible to be broken into or stolen. Such as putting a lock or locks on a lock. Originally coined in reference to Jack Smith of Arkansas.

That grill isn't going anywhere now that I've Jack-rigged it....
