The non-civilized term for Soda. Soda is a shorter version of Sodium Bicarbonate, while Pop is short for nothing. Pop is simply a vague term for the sensation of carbonation. If you refer to Soda as Pop, you are either from Indiana, or on the spectrum.

A beverage consisting of carbonated water (originally made with sodium bicarbonate), flavoring, and a sweet syrup. It is called "pop" because of the noise it makes when opened or shaken. It can alternatively be called soda or soda pop.
