When you've been buying all your stuff on Amazon and you forget where to find it in the actual store.
"Excuse me, I have Amazon Amnesia, where can I find the toilet paper? My Amazon subscribe and save isn't here yet and I'm all out."

Missing out on tasks and duties because parental duties take precedence.
The polite way of using your child as an excuse.
Most common in parents of children aged 5 and under.

I made a mistake, I fucked up, I don't want to accept responsibility for my actions so I'm going to claim Transient Global Amnesia and act like the whole thing never happened.

When you are writing, drawing, or otherwise creating content with the assumption that it's 100% original, only to later realize or find out that you were copying previously made content
I realized I was suffering from content amnesia when I got halfway through writing my story, only to realize I was writing The Matrix

1. when you have a job skill set that is being exploited to a level outside of your pay grade and you conveniently forget how to use that skill set. (commonly occurs when a corporation refuses to acknowledge the exploitation of skill sets they aren't currently paying for but expecting at bottom dollar) See: holding out for more money.
2. when a party wants something that you know but holds out for money feigning to not recall the details. (seen in many movies)

Manager: oh you know how to program Cisco switches but you are an under paid hourly guy. hmm.. how about you go ahead and deploy that new network segment.
Employee: Yea, how about compensation commensurate with that skill set.
Manager: How about you do it or look for other employment.
Employee: Yea, sorry I was mistaken, I am suffering from fiscal amnesia at this point.
"Where is the guy we are looking for?"
"Sorry my memory is a little hazy."
"Does this Franklin change your mind?"
"Well what do you know, I think I remember now.. he is staying in that apartment upstairs at 1549 fourth street... 3b."

Hiker’s own selective amnesia.
Remembering the “wow” at the top but forgetting the “fuck there’s more” on the trail, making you want to do it again.

-We should redo the same trail because the view was stunning
-Must be your hiking amnesia speaking cuz we nearly died going up
