Soddening

A tradition in which new parents lay out sod for their child. It is typically celebrated with a party in which close relatives and friends gather and watch the baby play on the new grass. There are small idiosyncrasies depending on local tradition, but all include new babies and soft green grass.

Sam's soddening was so cute, I want a baby.

Sladdbarn

Someone born a significant period of time after all their other siblings.

They settled down and immediately had three kids plus a sladdbarn which I suspect kept the marriage alive for a lot longer than it deserved.
