A plant from the mint family, it's scientific name is Nepeta cataria.
Makes cats go C R A Y C R A Y, and according to some research, possibly makes them horny(NO I AM NOT INTO BESTIALITY YA LITTLE SHNT), as it does not affect kittens until they reach sexual maturity at 6 months of age.
Cats may vocalize or roll and when it wears off, cats become immune to it's effects for half an hour.
A small percentage of cats do not react to catnip.
