A word used by gamers to indicate a button layout on an Xbox 360/Xbox controller. In this layout, the primary button (the shoot, punch, or accelerate button) is moved to the "A" key on the controller. Most gamers play this green "A" button with their thumb which started the phrase "green thumb"

"after playing all weekend, the right trigger on my controller broke. but i used my 1337 h4x skills to customize the button layout. I changed the shoot button to "A" and now I've been using the green thumb since.

A great band. I got their first album in 91 and followed them all the way til now. All of you stupid fuckers/rednecks who say they're sellouts and American Idiot sucks need to realize that there is more than one fucking song on the entire CD, hm?
American Idiot ranked right up there with Dookie, in my book.
And yes, I had/still have a green day shirt I wore to school in the early/mid 90's.

A great band from oakland, california that everyone thinks are sellouts but are sure as hell not. I like all of their music and just because 3 of their songs were on TRL doesnt make me totally against american idiot.Its overplayed, not overated.

An Alternative/Punk Rock band from Berkely California (Near me. Lol Californian Pride) I am not the HUGEST fan of Green Day, I like a few songs from American Idiot, and several from Nimrod, Dookie, and Insomniac. I think they're just alright, but I can think of a lot of bands better than them. I don't consider myself a die-hard fan of them, maybe not even a big fan. They're a decent band overall, but not my devotion. More of a My Chemical Romance kinda kid :D
American idiot was when Green Day really took flight. It's an ok album, but I prefer Nimrod and Dookie.
