Kolkatard

A person who is deluded enough to believe that Kolkata (the formerly prosperous capital of West Bengal, India) is the best city in India (if not in the world) in most aspects and that its people are culturally or intellectually superior to other human beings.
He / she is often born and brought up in Kolkata and has experienced very little of the outside world, except through the lens of racial superiority. He / she prefers to live in denial about the backwardness of Kolkata (and of West Bengal) and gets triggered by any criticism of Kolkata.

Normal person: There are hardly any new jobs created in Kolkata, or in West Bengal for that matter. Most well-educated people have to leave their homelands for their livelihoods.
Kolkatard: So what? Where else would you find aloo in biryani?

Normal person: Why are politics so violent in and around Kolkata? Why do you have gunshots and bomb blasts during municipal elections?
Kolkatard: West Bengal is the land of revolutionary politics and has was always been violent. If you can't survive a few bullets, stay away from our politics.
