Ring Of Fire is a nickname given to it by mechanics/technicians alike, and rightfully so. Depending on how long the car has been driving, the exhaust can reach temperatures of up 1,600 degrees and will literally melt your gloves before you get within even 3 inches of the filter.

Anybody who drives a ring of fire is the bane of my existence. 🖕
