Ridicule Effect

Ridicule Effect occurs when a person's statement or belief system is so outlandish or bizarre that others make fun of it and the speaker, thereby diminishing the speaker's credibility and intellectual ability, usually permanently.
Defined in book "Just Kidding" by Louis Franzini, published by Rowman & Littlefield (2012).

Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle made innumerable "misstatements" which ultimately evaporated his legitimacy and future officeholding, due to the Ridicule Effect. For example, "We are ready for any unforeseen event that may or may not occur."

Doppelganger effect

A causality exists in which after spending enough time with your best friend you start to dress, look, act, and eventually think the same as each other.

“Notice how those two guys sitting together on the bus have the same sunglasses, rings, haircuts, phone brand, shoes, etc. That’s the doppelganger effect. And look in the seats behind them are two girls who dress, tilt their heads and even laugh exactly like each other too”

The avatar effect

Based on the the rise, plunge And forgotten popularity of the movie avatar. An Instance when something, especially media,(film, tv, music, book, game, etc), becomes the biggest thing in the world and then vanishes just as quickly with little or no cultural legacy or lasting footprint.

Mary thought avacado toast was the biggest thing ever and ate it all the time, but then the avatar effect happened and now a year later she never eats that and barely remembers that was her thing once.

The Maddi Effect

This effect takes place once Maddi begins the talking phase with one of the boys. The symptoms of this effect can only be described as: causing one of the boys to lose interest in hanging out or conversing with said boys, an utter neglect for friends, leaving the boys on a consistent basis, mental rape, leaving the victim with a long lasting impression on impressing her.
