netjerking

When computer networking goes bad. When trying to set up a computer network, you encounter several unexplained problems, troubleshoot by pulling out (jerking) a lot of cables around, you learn a lot about the network, but in the end you're unable to solve the problem in the time alotted. It is very frustrating. It's a low-brow humorous euphemism for an analogous male sexual act. Both are exercises in futility which may be fun and consume energy but produce no practical results.

Netjerking is a lot of fun but as usual accomplishes nothing.

My buddy and I spent all afternoon netjerking in the computer lab.

The client had me running around the building netjerking until my arms were tired before giving up for the day.
