Sensation by Association

The feeling one gets when an activity, smell, taste or sound is encountered and reminds one of a prior occurrence of exposure to the same experience.

I cannot read textbooks in bed anymore because every time I try to study in the library as a result of sensation by association.

After drinking way too much, if I smell Goldenschlager again, I get sensation by association and want to start throwing up.

word association is a family game that you play and someone will start of with a word for example chair and you would say a word to go with chair such as table. you can think out the box but not repeat the word or say more than on word at a time.

Gay By Association

A descriptor for straight people who have almost exclusively queer friends. This doesn't mean they are actually queer. It is a way friends satirize they are the straight minority in the group because it is the opposite of what occurs in society. Usually, queer people are minorities.

Sometimes used to describe straight allies.

**Doesn't mean they are gay. Satirical only.**

Person: Is your friend Steve gay?
Queer friend: He's gay by association.
