A day spent after turning your iPhone onto 'airplane mode', thus disabling facebook, texts and calls so anyone trying to reach you thinks you have no signal. Commonly used as a temporary cure for an emotional hangover, when you can't deal with the outside world untill your hangover has worn off.

Airplane

Something that I couldn’t go on 4 years ago cuz Miss Rona was prevalent back then, but now that life has returned back to somewhat of a normalcy (it was about time that happened), I am going to be on one in less than 48 hours going on vacation and I am so. freaking. excited!!!!!!!!

Me 4 years ago: Oh I wish I could be on vacation!!!!!! I wish I could be on an airplane on the way to paradise instead of paradising in my bedroom.

Me today: OMG I’m so excited!!!!!! Chicago ‘24 here we come!!!!!!! My excitement is consuming me 24/7/366!!!!!!! I’ll be on an airplane in less than 2 days!!!!!!!!!

airplane mode FOMO

Similar to "flight mode FOMO", this term refers to the ability to abstain from watching YouTube during flights as you must put your smartphone (and tablet) on airplane mode whilst still being unable to abstain from watching YouTube outside flights.

Every time I board a plane, I experience serious airplane mode FOMO, knowing I can't watch my favorite YouTube videos while still scrolling through my playlist for hours after landing.
