Snowflake flu

A "sickness" a person gets when they call in to work on a day that it snows, when they aren't really sick.

It's supposed to snow 6 to 8 inches tomorrow, so 7 drivers decided to call in sick. They must have snowflake flu.

When common words, terms, phrases, products, or artistic creations like songs, programming, or fashion are twisted or manipulated to have negative connotations that are racist, sexist, homophobic, or offensive in some other manner, even though its origin intent was free of any such implications

In 2018, the song "Baby It's Cold Outside" was pulled from radio stations because snowflake activism deemed it to be sexist and promoted rape culture when in fact, it was an innocent song featuring playful banter written by a man in the 1940's for his wife and himself to sing at parties.
