A form of racism against people with red hair. Often used to describe unfair or mean behavior against red-heads.
It is unfortunately normalized in today’s society but still continues to hurt red headed people all over the world.

Jake called Amy a ginger as an insult. He is guilty of gingerism.
Sarah made fun of Kaley’s red hair. Sarah is a gingerist.
Polly said that having red hair is a disease. She is guilty of gingerism
