Get the My Chemical Romancemug. MCR are amazing. They started off in 2001 when Their lead man Gerard Way was suffering from severe depression. The band members say that to begin with the music was their therapy, then it grew to be other peoples there pay and eventually Gerard said that it was becoming to be for suicide prevention. People say that they encourage self harm but this is fucking bullshit. At almost every one of their shows, they talk about not self harming, not committing suicide and talking to someone if you or anyone you know are depressed. MCR saved my life and I expect many other people's lives. The band split in 2013 when Gerard said that "it was no ones fault" it was just time for them to end. When they split, they said they wanted to be remembered as a band who made an impacts on people's lives, and they sure as hell did. THANK YOU MY CHEMICAL ROMANCW

Get the My Chemical Romancemug. A very influential Post-Hardcore band from the shores of New Jersey. Often classified as Emo/Punk/Goth, the band themselves have never put a label on themselves, and for this, should be noted. While the main audience for the band seems to be teens, it is impossible to cast stereotypes onto the listeners, as the band themselves are an extremely varied bunch of guys. Releasing their first album in 2002, their second in 2004 and their DVD in 2006, the band have come a long way in only four short years.

I don't have an example for My Chemical Romance being the best except for the fact that if you actually listen to there music you will understand who good it actualy is!

Get the My Chemical Romancemug. Allow me to clear up all of the crap definitions here. My Chemical Romance is not pop. My Chemical Romance is not punk. My Chemical Romance is not emo, and they have never siad they were any of those things. My Chemical Romance is undr the genre of post hardcore. A VERY SMALL AMOUNT of their earlier songs MIGHT have passed for metal, but they are a "Post Hardcore" band. I'm not going to say that they're good or that their bad, because definitions aren't for pushing people's own personal opinions. They are for informing.
