Double entendre, stemming from HotForWords' offer of a chance to win an autographed iPad by joining a site she linked to from her lesson on "Double Entendre" ("I'd like to double HER entendre" - The Todd, SCRUBS)
You won an iPad that HotForWords autographed? Oooh ... (Yoda say) Autograph HER iPad, I'd Like To ... Yehhhhhhhhhhhs!

A device used by some mothers (not all) to shut up ungrateful screaming toddlers while they ask me how I can be so mad as to not want kids.
iPads can also be used by some grateful children or by older people (50+) as their eyes have become too unable to see anything smaller- not trying to be rude it’s just the truth :)

Some mums (not all): Teddy pls stop screaming here have the iPad
Teddy: *stops screaming and becomes entranced by the iPad*

Originally from the "Cough like an iPad kid" slang from 2021 (referring to Generation Alpha and the tendency to cough with their mouth and tongue visible while on their tablet as young children). However, the 2024 version of iPad kid revolves around filing in the "..." with any verb and then laughing and saying "alrighttt", in the same tone as Jynxzi, immediately after in the form of ironic comedy.
The first known use of this new form of humour comes from a Jynxzi stream from June 24 where he appears to cough and read a chat instantly of a viewer telling him he coughs like an iPad kid.
This can be seen as a form of clip farming, the 2024 trend that is currently making a resurgence where streamers purposely act out of line in hopes of being clipped for clout.

a cat that has seen so many videos and/or games for cats that they try to tap/play with any screen they see and are no longer engaged by regular cat toys. they need to play with a screen to stay entertained, much like an iPad kid.
friend: “why is your cat pawing at your phone screen?”
me: “I showed him too many cat videos and he became an iPad cat”

The moniker given to the country Indonesia as the country with world's highest average screen time — i.e. 6.05 hours per day throughout early 2020's, now 7 hours 38 minutes per day as of 2025. This Indonesian people's screen time is claimed to "rival that of iPad kids", hence the prefix "i-" in this slang term "iPad kid society" (meaning "the society consisting of persons who are addicted to screens") akcually stands for "Indonesia".
With everyone in Indonesia glued to their screens for over 7 hours a day, it's no wonder we call it the iPad kid society.
