HSP

Highly Sensitive People. A highly sensitive person is the most conscientious person you could ever meet. They pick up on everything around them and other people’s feelings that after, they need downtime to decompress, regardless of being an introvert or extrovert. Their emotions are extremely intense. They cry often to release any type of emotions. They can’t control their crying and can overreact because they just feel so much and on a emotional rollercoaster. They tend to be overthinkers, perfectionists and people pleasers. They care about people and things deeply and love nature, pets, animals, beauty and art . They hate criticism, cruelty and conflict so much that they try to avoid it. They don’t understand violence or why people can mean at times. Experiencing those things can make them react emotionally in a negative way or shut down. They felt different or misunderstood growing up. They are used to hearing people say to them that they are too sensitive and need to grow thicker skin. It can be hard for non-HSPs to relate to them because they have deeper emotions and their surroundings can overwhelm them. Therefore, they are often labeled as “weak” or “crybabies”. This can lead an HSP to experience depression, anxiety or feeling alone. Lastly, they just want the world to be a better place and they are constantly searching for meaning in everything in their lives. They want to have a purpose. They think deeply and spiritually and make the greatest friends and leaders.

Jessica is an HSP. She needs downtime after going out to a busy social gathering because of the overstimulation. Her emotions are so intense that she cries often. She tries so hard to make other people happy and never wants to disappoint them. Her and her pet dog are very attached to each other and she loves art. She breaks down every time she’s in an argument with someone. She told me she felt different and misunderstood her whole life and many people told her to ‘toughen up’. That brought her down because being an HSP is part of who she is and she can’t change that. What I love about Jessica is that she wants to make the world a better place and is a very spiritual, conscientious person. Due to that, she is an excellent person to look up to!

HSG

An abbreviation which literally refers to High School Girl(s). It can generally be applied to girls who are younger than the law would appreciate. It can be used to cover up talk which might be looked down upon by certain people in the general vicinity.

"Dude did you check out that group on facebook; I Love High School Girls? I fucking love HSG's man!!!"

"Man if it wasn't for HSG's, I might have never made it out of high school, or college, or graduate school, or my mid-life crisis."

HSC

A major cause of youth suicide. Occurs over the final year of school for Australian year 12 students and largely involves remembering a fuckload of useless information that will either make or break your life, depending on your ability to remember it. Its a real prick and often incites hatred of not only onself, but teachers, the school and just society in general. A major contributor towards manic depression, drug dependency and insomnia. Students often remark that it leaves them scared for life, unable to stop analysing every film they watch or forgot the lines to Felix Skrzynecki poems (a rather useless poet whose only achievement is to manage to write a series of poems, each with the same theme, which feature various complaints about his parents, country and just his life in general). Likewise, the HSC is directly linked to both an increase in youth binge drinking but also a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and thus global warming.

Person 1: "Wtf, why did that guy just shoot himself?"
Person 2: "Mate, he was in the middle of the HSC!"
Person 1: "Fair call!"
