Disappearing from the life of a person you were dating without a parting word in person, by text, phone, or email. Usually a sign that you are not mature enough to be dating.

Friend 1: How did your 3rd date with that Joe guy go? I know you were super pumped about it and that you'd been talking to him all week.
Friend 2: Oh Caspar? Not so good.
Friend 1: I thought his name was Joe.
Friend 2: His driver's licence says Joel, but we talked for hours every single day for two weeks and had a wonderful night, then boom. Radio silence. So yeah. If he was the kind of guy who thinks ghosting is okay then he wasn't worth my time.

A term coined generally by millinials that picked up great popularity after 2014. This social phenomenon i essentially when one party in a relationship, decides that instead of being an honest and upfront person in life, and facing possible backlash by their counterpart, that they will stop all communication with said person to avoid confrontation and reality. Others might say it is called “Letting someone down easy” where as a matter of fact one is just too scared of confronting another about how they feel or that they’d no longer like to communicate with said person

Jim: Hey Gavin, what happened to that girl Julia or whomever you were talking too??

Gavin: I couldn’t tell ya man. Things had been looking good the past few months, then boom, shes gone. I think she is ghosting me. I Haven't heard from her in a month bro.
