1• Emos don't always self harm themselves or try to commit suicide, and if they do try to convince them to stop and get help immediately.

2• Emos are not always depressed. We can sometimes be the happiest people in the world. The word emo is just short for emotional, meaning we just have super sensitive feelings.

3• They don't always wear black or have emo hair, we are just emotional and sensitive.

4•Emos usually make the best boyfriends and girlfriends because we are sweet, kind, and them being emotional means we can actually relate to how you feel.

5• The sexiest thing to walk the face of the Earth.

6• We are not the same as E-girls and E-boys. E-style is just one of the many popular aesthetic styles on the internet. Emo is being sensitive or the whole punk rocker genre.

Emo

Originally started as a type of music genre, emo has evolved into a type of style for young teens. Many emo people are considored posers by people not in their cliques. Many people who considor themselves as emo are in fact not emo, but just favor the style. Posers who get a little carried away tend to cut themselves to show off how emo they are.
People who considor themselves emo are most likely not emo, unless you count what their friends say.
People who do NOT considor themselves emo are probably more emo than the other type of emo, who considor themselves emo.

REAL emo people most likely have depression disorders and mood problems.

Ex 1 (Poser Emo): Emo #1- Hey dude, your cuts make you look so emo right now.
Emo #2- I know, right?

Ex 2 (Emo): - Guy #1- Hey dude . . . are you emo?
Emo #1- I don't know . . . I don't really care. I'm just kind of depressed.

Teenagers or preteens that listen to bands such as twenty one pilots, my chemical romance, pierce the veil, sleeping with sirens, bring me the horizon, etc... they all shop at hot topic and think they're depressed and have anxiety and spend a lot of time on tumblr. Oh and they're all bi or sexually confused.

I'm not emo mom, this is the real me and it's not a phase.
