The plain girl would say a prayer every night before the storm that the winds would clock in 5 mph less every hour, and that no human being would suffer, so that she could put on her mask, hand sanitizer, gloves, face shield and bubble suit and be miserable the next day. A storm is nature's way of letting human beings know that everyone deserves this shit, it doesnt matter if you think you're a good person or not, it doesnt matter if your skin is light or dark, or you think you deserve something better than this shit.
