Due to the ultra addictive nation of this online game, I consider one of the luckier of the people who have played this game and have got addicted faster then a crackhead looking for his next fix. I have (for the most part) not fallen for Jagex's evil spell of getting people addicted to it and I have a normal social life. And i am currently passing all my classes in school.
Unfortunately my friend (who introduced me to the game) quit about 5 times and KEEPS COMING back.
I HIGHLY advise if u never played the game, don't start. Take it from a current player of the game
Need proof? Look at all the 36 pages for this word. I haven't read them all yet but almost all the definitions are mostly about how Jagex and their runescape has ruined their lives and has changed it forever.
So please, if 36 pages of definitions doesn't tell you something about runescape, then what the hell will?

Get the runescapemug. runescape is a very very cool game which might seem boring at first but after like say couple of weeks of playin u'll luv it!!! and if u're a member then its extra extra cool. the game starts off with all ur stats(lvls) at 1 and combat lvl 3. u start off in a place called tutorial island where u get to know to speak do things n all that. then when u've finished ur course on tutorial island then u're free to do wateva u want to do. u got attack defence strenght hitpoints and a lot of skills like cooking fishing firemakin runecraftin herblore slayer farming and many many more and now u got the awesome.....wait for it------CONSTUCTION!!!!!!!!! u can build ur own house u can have a servant show off ur armour and all that stuff have beautiful gardens throne rooms and dungeons. its brilliant. also u got loooots of cwl armours on there and lotsa quests. TRY IT!!! it rockzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
p.s i garauntee that the game will be borin fer the first week or so unlees u got a runescape who can tell u wot to do (of course)

There is a free-to-play version, and a pay-to-play that cost around $6 a month. You can make your character raise stats, kill monsters, complete quest, kill other players, or take part in the various mini games(most mini games are for members only).

I never have been adicted BUT my best friend was. Just look at the name runescape run-escape. The company Jagex that created runescape must put hidden things in the games screen that makes you adicted. I could never get my friend outside. Runescape truly is an adiction it is worse than drugs I had to give away all my friends items to get him to quit.
