That Chinese food was great, but that power sweet and sour was so much better.

california potato power

The assumed lyrics to the line "get up on your feet, tear down the wall," in Persona 4's opening theme, "Pursue My True Self." A perfect example of how difficult it is to translate "Engrish."
Lance: Hey, you're playing Persona 4? Oh, I love that one song, "California Potato Power."

David: It's called "Pursue My True Self", dumb-ass.

Speak the Truth to Power

To Speak the Truth to Power can be applied today to those in the people's House, the House of Representatives, who are speaking the truth to "the powers that be" in the more senior Senate and in the Executive branch of government. Regardless of which political party controls these branches of government, after an election in which control of the House changes parties, and when the Senate and/or the White House are in the control of the other party, truly the new members of the House can Speak the Truth to Power. Many sayings originate in one group and spread to the general public, from jazz, a movie line, etc. While this saying may have originated with liberals, it probably originated when liberals were in the minority. The more salient feature is not whether the speaker of the saying is liberal or conservative, but whether (s)he is in power or not.
Health review leader promises to ‘speak the truth to power
... the review was a chance to ‘pause, listen, reflect and improve’ on the proposals before they were passed back to the House of Lords in June ... I come from a sector that speaks truth to power. So people can be assured when they’re making comments to us we will listen to what they say’ (Sir Stephen Bubb).

Solar Powered Girl

The type of jawdroppingly attractive girl you see on a hot day when the sun comes out. Never seen or heard in a drab environment, the Solar Powered Girl is simply evoked by cloudless skies and hot weather. Often causing much cooing and elbow nudging, they can be hazardous to men driving vehicles, particularly white vans.

Many women not quite on the same level as a Solar Powered Girl regularly attempt to disguise themselves as one by wearing large, face-hiding sunglasses.
Example 1.

Guy 1: "Weather's looking awesome...there's bound to be some Solar Powered Girls out today!"

Guy 2: "Yeah but take care we may see a few decievers out there".

Example 2.
*BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*
(Everyone turns around to see the source of loud noise)

"It's just some white van driver beeping his horn at the Solar Powered Girls."
