BopGround Check

The research that either you, a peer, or group of peers perform when screening a potential date or partner. Most often during the early talking stages but BopGround Checks are performed during breaches or shaky periods of trust. The screening is checking socials, history from mutuals, and scouting if everything matches.

The term is synonymous with Background Check

"checks and balances" system

A form of government-operation whereby you are guaranteed "level" or "fair overall" treatment if you are generous with your "checks" to bribe local/state/federal officials, or if you are sufficiently rich (i.e., you have a large enough "balance" in da bank) that said officials feel obliged to make special allowances for you.

We may ostensibly have a "checks and balances" system, but it never seems to help out "da little guy" very much.

The Kiki vibe check

When someone passes the Kiki vibe check it means they are weird, but safe. They're quite odd, but in a good way. They're really fun while your mental health is safe from toxic behaviour when you get close to them. Most of people that pass the Kiki vibe check are either lgbtq+, neurodivergent, mentally ill, anime/cartoon enthusiast, a memer or all of the above. Thought falling into one of those categories isnt' a requirement.

Person1:Dude, do you like to hang out with Sophie?

Person2:I mean she's fun, but she didn't pass the Kiki vibe check...
