The ancestral town of a person in Nigeria, usually with a family compound associated with that lineage/family . In Nigeria It is possible not to be born/raised in your hometown. 3rd generations still claim where parents/grandparents were not born as hometown.

home education

Home educated people are children who are educated otherwise than at school. This could be by their parents following/not following the curriculum or online schools (yes, they existed before Covid-19). However, some online schooled students don’t like being called home educated.

Some peoples’ reasons for being home educated are:

- Religious beliefs
- Mental/Physical health
- Pursuing other commitments such as acting or sports
- Other, such as a need for a decelerated/accelerated education due to a number of reasons.

The list goes on.

There are many other social opportunities for children that aren’t school. Please don’t assume we are social recluses.

I was home educated until I was 7, then returned to home education when I was 13.

Home

My definition of home is a teenage boy. I love this boy with all my heart. He feels like home to me, whenever I speak to him i'm overcome with a sense of happiness and comfort and all feels right. This boy is able to make me smile and blush in any given situation. I could stare into his eyes for years and hopefully I'll get the opportunity to do so! He's got the prettiest blue eyes. His smile is cute and he makes me laugh. He's loyal and kind. He sort of reminds me of a golden retriever. He says the sweetest things and I just know he's the one I want to come home to after a long day. Sometimes I picture him taking care of our future kids and playing with them. I want this boy so bad. He also smells good, which is weirdly attractive. He's perfect in my eyes and I hope he'll be able to see that one day too.

Ghetto home cinema

A home cinema made out of spare parts found around the house. A true ghetto home cinema has one of the following characteristics:

-The rear speakers of the "surround system" are of different make than the front speakers (or worse, the front speakers are the TV's intergrated speakers).

-The "surround system" lacks a center or subwoofer channel, or both.

-The projector operates at a 4:3 format (like the ones used for powerpoint presentations). Unlike proper home cinema systems which have 16:9 projectors.

-Picture is provided via composite (yellow plug) cables.

-The pre-recorded material consists of VHS tapes, Divx files and single layer DVDs made with DVD shrink (proper home cinema's have dual layer DVDs, MKV files and Blurays)

Little Jimmy put his pair of spare Wallmart speakers, his dad's powerpoint projector, and his collection of bootleg Divx files into good use, by making his own ghetto home cinema
