Percussion, Brass, Woodwind, and sometimes String ensembles that "band" together to form the absolute greatest thing ever thought of. Some marching bands have a Color Guard too, which ties together the entire show.

Mom band

Kind of like a rock band, in the most accessible way possible. The bands that moms generally like waaaaay more than their kids do (e.g. Staind, Creed, Nickelback, etc).

Alex: Doing pretty well, hey did you check out that band i told you about last week?

Jim: Yeah, they're kind of a mom band imho.
