happinology

A belief system whereby The Good Samaritan's deed has its everlasting rippling effect, but the story is never written down, never spoken of, never mentioned. Developed in 2001 as a way to speak of good deeds done without going into the details of its doneness so as to avoid elevating the doer and thus minimizing the deed.

Instead of coming home and explaining that you were just out in the rain, helping some elderly lady put a spare tire on her car so you can get a pat on the back and validation that you indeed do care, you would just say that you were involved in some happinology.

couch hopping

1. staying at a different house or apartment everyday or every few days while looking for a place to live

2. staying at someones house, mooching until you wear out your welcome, then moving on to another person's house

I haven't found a place to live yet, so I stuck all my stuff in storage and I'm pretty much couch hopping for now.

bunny-hopping

An exploitative tactic in many first-person shooter (FPS) video games which involves a rapid succession of jumps, hopping like a rabbit to avoid enemy fire.

It is a successful tactic mostly because these games do not often simulate the motion of human jumping very well, and it is an exploit difficult to correct from a developer's perspective without impacting other, more legitimate tactics.
