Prep is not something you can define by what they wear, it is something that is defined by their overall personality and mentality to life. Yes preps do enjoy looking nice, but it doesn't really matter where they get their nice clothes. They can shop at Noordstroms,Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, JCrew, Polo, or they can go to WalMart and find something they like. They like being comfortable and do not care where they buy things to feel that way. They do not have to live/vacation/go to school in new england, they could live in,say, Maryland and still be a prep. They are normally very nice people who have many friends, and because of this they are also hated on. But it is really only because people do not know them.

Get the prepmug. sombody who does, wears, listens to, and says whatever happens to be "in style". They have a tendency to talk trash on anyone who openly disagrees with their look on life. Some can be nice though. The old definition was somebody who goes to a prep school, but nobody really uses it that way anymore. Preps have HUGE egos. They think they "rule the school" when really most people hate them. Most of their life is based on the school(sports ,clubs, etc.). Preps have a tendancy to use each other when it comes to "drama". Mostly girls, but some boys.

Get the prepmug. "Ok i've been reading your definitions of "PREPS" i wear Abercrombie,AE,Hollister ETC. I have been called A "rich prep" i mean i got money and i get the stuff that i want for example i got a new car for my 14 birthday and i couldnt even drive yet, and, i've paid $200 for a pair of "ripped" abercrombie jeans, but i dont think i'm better than every one. In my school the "preps" do wear expensive stuff and have nice things but the dont act like there better than every on else, they talk to the unpopular kids and have friends who arent in the "PREP" class and at one point in time i bet every one reading this has talked about someone behind they back. i dont like labels and i dont think you should label us because we dont label you. i look at every one as an individual and i think that you should too. lifes too short to go through it hating some one for what they've got and there social status.

I think its safe to say that nobody likes preps and people would never want to lower them selves that low.
