The claim that your attempt to wind someone up has succeeded.

Relates to the term "fish nibbling at my bait"

This can be a result of a simple one liner or multiple attacks over a course of an hour/day/week/year - no time limit really.
Nibs can be lined up either in person, over the phone, email/text, smoke signals.

Jeff - are you going to sit there all day or are you planning on doing something?

Casual dismissal of another person's opinion. Used in much the same context as talk to the hand. Best accompanied by hand actions to mimic a talking mouth.

Person 1 - "Well, I think your opinion on genetic modification is fundamentally flawed, because..."
Person 2 - "Nib nib."

A Black Sabbath song. Contrary to common belief, "N.I.B." doesn't stand for "Nativity In Black," in fact, it doesn't stand for anything. Drummer Bill Ward had a beard that singer Ozzy Osbourne said looked like a pen nib. The band named the song after the nib and added initials so the name would be more mysterious. There are two Black Sabbath tribute albums named Nativity in Black, based on the faux acronym.
