Pretentious, translation-challenged oxymoron that mistakes the meaning of the French word "soirée" to be "party" instead of "evening." Refers to a meetup of haughty people probably in a yatch eating cucumber sandwiches and wearing breeches.

We look forward to a midday soiree of great company, intriguing conversation, tasty cocktails, and assorted entertainment at The Manor.

RA Soiree

When the RA's party together, it is called an RA Soiree. Also, in some cases, if a previously established, non-RA related party consists of over 50% RA's, the party becomes an RA Soiree.

The location is usually the RA that happens to have the biggest room/ the room farthest away from the hall director - RA apartments are ideal. The soiree always goes hard because RA's are generally pretty overworked and can outdrink any other on-campus student worker. Also, where do you think all that confiscated booze goes?

There will be an RA Soiree tonight after the freshmen move out. Don't tell the Building Directors!!
