"Reddie" is presumed to have been derived from "Reds" - the progression is credited to the fact that Reddies more easily fits into pep songs and chants than the more blunt mascot "Reds."
Arkansas's Public Liberal Arts University, Henderson State is best known for offering the only four-year aviation degree program in Arkansas. The University is home to nearly 4,000 students, and is located directly across the street from rival school Ouachita Baptist University, a small private institution that is best known for being very expensive.
