William has taken a liking to modern-day synthesizers and has been quoted as calling them "manageable". The project's name stemmed from a childhood nightmare William had of a giant man/toast beast with the face of a cat. He dubbed the creature Nikmis, his last name backwards. "They'll never figure THAT one out!" he said.
