Loa is a shortnening of the term "Lol of acknowledgement", because often during conversations someone may say something serious when your not paying attention and by reflex you reply "Lol", this could result in your conversational partner becoming stressed or angry because you apparently laughed out loud at his/her serious statement. To avoid arguments simply write "Loa", this will stop your conversational partner thinking you are laughing at him/her and they will know that you are simply acknowledging their statement of seriousness and not laughing at them.
