A person who lives in Europe AND has European ancestry.
In America, mostly members of the EU are considered to be "european". So when someone thinks of Europe, Germany, France, Italy come to mind, not Russia, Ukraine etc.
Also Americans think that being "european" means being a pussy.
completely wrong! Eastern Europeans are some of the toughest people on Earth (survived Communism, fought ww2 for the West etc)
