Describing events, actions or people without the use of superlatives or exaggerated adjectives.

Comes from the Dutch custom of reserving extreme adjectives for special occasions, unlike the American custom of thinking everything is the absolute best thing ever!

An example of an American sentence: That was the best blow job ever!

An example of a "dutch" sentence: That blow job was not unpleasant.

Dutch/Dutchie; A plate of food in Jamaican slang. Most people mis-use the word for Cutch/Cutchie (which is also known as a spliff or ganja or marijuana, etc.) There was a song sang by an infamous reggae artist. "Pass the cutchie pon de leff hand side..." The song was entirely about marijuana. Then a group of poor kids from Jamaica came up with an alternative to that song. "Pass the dutchie." So instead of saying pass the ganja. The children said pass the pot of food.

"Pass de dutchie pon de leff hand side." = Pass de pot of food.

"Pass de cutchie pon de leff hand side." = Pass de ganja.
