An individual who lives by the principles of the Bible, and follows the teachings of Jesus Christ as a way of life. Jesus' followers are called Christians. A Christian is a disciple of Jesus, and a disciple means a follower. Bible thumpers (aka Christians) live by the fact that the Bible is the living Word of God, and live their lives in a way that pleases and glorifies God, in order to assure salvation in heaven.
You know Jason? He's a Bible thumper. He's always trying to convert me into Christianity, because the Bible is telling him to. He keeps on telling me that I'll be going to hell if I don't accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.

A person whose religious beliefs include strict adherence to the Bible. He is likely to deliver angry sermons to anyone who believes differently, even if that "difference" means belonging to a church that disagrees with his interpretation of Scriptures.

A preacher or a person that is hypocritically critical of others, as they are often worse of the people they are chastising. A person that uses religion to try to inoculate themselves from criticism. A con artist that does know much or some of the word of God, but does not abide by it, but tries to use religion to pretend to be an honest good person for personal gain. A religious whitewash. Spending most of their time criticizing others; or they try to do token good deeds or token crusades to try to make themselves look like saints. A bible thumper is an EXTREMELY religious person. Not just a regular christian, most regular christians are pretty chill. A bible thumper would be:
-A person preaching in the subway or the sreets
-A person who does NOT respect your religious opinion

A religious Zealot who pressures people to subscribe to their own religios beliefs, even after the target has said they are not interested. Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses are particularly notorious Bible Thumpers.
