A game in which one person has to answer either "yes" or "no" to any given question. Very handy when speaking to a friend or spouse at work about material not appropriate for coworkers.

Person 1: "Do you want to play the yes no game?"
Person 2: "Yes."
Person 1: "Did you get an interview for the job you applied for?"
Person 2: "Yes."

A question in which the only answer can be yes or no. Any other answer is invalid, even if it is an extension on the yes or no answered. Extensions include reasons, conditions, explanations, or responses. Answering with anything else than yes or no,(maybe, I don't know, sort of, neither, kinda, both, etc.) is prohibited.

Incorrect:
1:Yes or no question, do you like pizza?
2:Sort of.

1:Yes or no question, do you like pizza?
2:Yes, but only pepperoni and cheese.

Correct:
1:Yes or no question, do you like pizza?
2:Yes
