Run DMC

Though they aren't rock, my favorite genre of music, I absolutely love them. They're as great as AC/DC.

They don't need an example of their greatness. It should already be known around the world.

Run DMC

Run DMC was one of the most influential rap groups ever. It was extremely popular in the 1980s, and it consisted of emcees Run (Joseph Simmons), DMC (Darryl McDaniels), and the late deejay Jam Master Jay (Jason Mizell). Its genre is old-school rap (rap performed between 1979 and 1993), but the band has also performed rock songs, such as the remix of Aerosmith's "Run This Way." Alas, Jam was brutally murdered back in 2002.

1.) Run DMC is one of the best rap groups around. It is a hell of a lot better than that new-school shit they play on the radio. Who the fuck is Chingy or the Wu-Tang Clan? These new-school artists suck compared to the Kings of Rock.

2.) Jason Mizell is the John Lennon of Run DMC, because some asshole shot him to death.

an awesome hip hop group that emerged onto the scene inn 1981 (ish) when they remixed Aerosmiths rock classic Walk This Way, thus making them popular among african americans, but also white people. Ahhh unity. Anyway, the group released a few more hits then faded off the charts. Then, in 2002, the group's DJ Jam Master Jay was shot and killed. The group disbanded in his honor.

If you know the lyrics to Walk This way (Aerosmith), then you know the lyrics to the Run DMC remix. They're the same, except to one the lyrics are rapped.

The greatest Old School rap group ever. Performed at the time of other greats such as Whodini and Grandmaster Flash. Sadly, they're all dead now and all we have now is vanilla ice, nelly, ice cube, etc. crap. etc.

Whatever happened to sex, drugs and rock n roll. Now all we got is AIDS, crack, and techno...

Whatever happened to Grandmaster Flash and Run DMC. Now all we got is Ja Rule, J-Kwon, and Jay-Z.
