POK

"POK" is the infamous sound made by a tennis ball coming in contact with a perfectly placed swing of a tennis raquet.
POK is also the term given to ThumbDrives or USB Drives (USB Mass storage devices).
This term is derived from the brand name of Hewlett-Packard USB Drives called the "PockiDrive".
Shortened, edited and combined with the personified "POK" sound, the term "POK" took over the old USB(Thumb)Drive.

Dude, pass me your POK, I need to save some work on it.

PoK

PoK is an acronym used by the players of the MMORPG Everquest, in order to easily refer to the Plane of Knowledge. This is a zone that was introduced to the game in the expansion set, Everquest: Planes of Power, which coincidentally enough, users of Everquest often refer to as PoP.

The Plane of Knowledge is a central area to the game, in which people may access distant places all throughout the game world, via clickable stone portals placed throughout the zone. Thus, it is spoken of a lot while playing.

Let's head to the PoK to meet up, and buy some new spells.

Parent Over Keyboard. Used as a alternative to "POS" when a parent is watching you talk over IMs. Used as an alternative in conversations because "POS" is also an abbreviation for "pice of shit", and may be confusing in normal conversations.

PoK

Standing for Probability of Kill (PoK) which is the probability a weapon system has of achieving a kill on its target, followed by a percentage number.

Unsurprisingly used mainly for descriptions of military weapon systems.

"The Hind helicopter's ATGM system has a PoK of 80". PoK 80 meaning the system has an 80 percent chance of damaging its target enough to warrant it as a 'kill'.
