Honda engeneering company's mid engined sports car. Sold as an Acura in North America and as a Honda elsewhere.
A shity loser car that costs over $80,000 yet has the less engine power (torque) than an Grand Prix GTP. Truly a sad piece of shit.

"NSX" was originally an acronym for "New Sportscar eXperimental". And yes, it was originally NS-X, hyphenated, on the pre-production prototypes.
The NSX is manufactured in Tochigi, Japan.
The air vents on the doors tilt up to direct the air flow towards the passengers. If you pull up a little bit more when they are all the way up, they "click" and lock in place.

Honda simply has better engineers than most other car companies, which is how they went from zero to moderately huge in just two decades. The Accord and Civic are the benchmarks in their respective categories. A few years after they entered Formula One racing, Honda dominated the sport. The NSX is basically the street car built by the Formula One folks.
As for the people that listed false definitions of this car, please ignore them. They do not know the capabilities of this car as they think they do, sitting on their throne. If you'd like to see more information about this car and its performance, go watch JGTC.

A Japanese super car made by Honda brought out in America by Acura. In 1991 this car was a super with its unique aluminum c30a 3.0L 270hp 210lb engine. 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. years later they came out with the c32b engine 3.2L 290hp engine. 0-60 in only 4.6 seconds with its 6 speed transmission. This beast doesn't need 500hp to compete with Lamborghini and Ferrari's. With its incredible aerodynamics technology and the sleek light weight body. Even lighter 6 cylinder aluminum engine (great on gas). Take turns faster then a Porsche.

Hondas's original sports car. The NSX was introduced in 1991, and when it was introduced, it outperformed all cars in its day. 0-60 mph in 4-8 seconds, all aluminum body, transverse mid engine rear wheel drive, civilized in everyday driving... Ferrari, Porsche, Corvette, etc. all bowed down to its might.
Unfortunately, since it was introduced, it wasn't updated. Nowadays, you can find a C6 corvette which could outperform the nsx on the straights. However, the nsx is still a favorite for anyone looking for an extremely durable and well balanced machine. There will be an update soon (2007-2008), and you can bet that it will be killer.

Americans like straight line speed, but once you get into the corners, you can't beat the NSX. For a 290 HP car (280 PS in Japan), its speed of 0-60 in 4.8 seconds means that it is incredibly balanced through the corners, and exit corner speeds were greater then the cars with 400+ hp. Balance is key in racing, and in this regard, the NSX was awesome

One of the greatest definitions of motor engineering to date. If there was no horsepower limit in japan, the NSX could quite easily be the most powerful non-turbo V6 in the world.
