Mashalla or Mashallah, an Arabic word used to show appreciation to something or someone. It's usually used to the same context as using the word "wow" in English. However the literal meaning is "what God has willed" and it's usually not what's meant by when mentioned in a sentence.

However, the closest meaning and use of the phrase in the English language is that similar to the phrase “Knock on wood” to express hope for someone’s good luck to continue for a particular positive statement or as to not jinx something good.
