Also spelled magnae (막내). A Korean term used internationally to describe the youngest member of a group. It can be any group but usually used in the K-pop industry. Sometimes the youngest member is also considered the most talented and/or inexperienced member of a group.

A lot of groups are becoming successful due to the cuteness and talented minds of the maknae.

Maknae on Top is a title given to Yang Jeongin of Stray Kids, for being the best maknae of 4th generation and because of the title having been used for Jeongin only.

Yang Jeongin also has a whole song called 'Maknae on Top' - therefore, it's his title.
