An individual that is obessessed with homework yet still finds time to party it up and party they do.
It's a Friday night and Jaymie is drunk, but the party is dying down so they pull out their homework. Therefore Jaymie is a keener.
OR
"I was studying for fun earlier let's get plastered now!" < that would be a keener talking or Jaymie
OR
"You're a keener" or "What a keener" (refering to jaymie or taylor)
OR
"WTH Taylor is on the principals list but got so drunk that her hangover resulted in taking half an hour to walk a block and sitting in 5 different puddles along the way" TAYLOR WOULD BE A KEENER.

Get the keenermug. (Canadian Slang, Noun) Game played in colleges and universities, where players create a grid of fellow students names with three names across and three name down. Objective is to strategically choose the keenest (adjective, Keener) students who are first to answer questions during class or lecture. Once a student answers a question his or her name is crossed out until a player achieves a row, diagonal and /or full card depending on house rules. When player achieves objective, they need to immediately call out 'Bingo' in order to claim their win.
I was throw out of my philosophy lecture after winning at Keener Bingo today. The professor threated that it if happends again he will send me to the dean.

Get the Keener Bingomug. A keener who is a step or two up... or ten.
Much like regular keeners, super keeners like to participate enthusiastically in school and extracurricular activities. However super keeners are the leaders of the clubs, teams, and projects that keeners are oh so proud to be a part of. Super keeners are the most politically powerful students in a school; some even have more influence than average adults.
This doesn't necessarily make the super keener a popular and well known person. Some super keeners are relatively unknown socially within the school but have the most newspaper articles written about them outside. Meeting one of these hidden keeners can be quite the experience as you first assume they're a nobody but later discover they have local politicians on their contacts, and you realize you could be talking to the next prime minister. It can also be depressing as a role-reversal might occur and you will see yourself as the nobody in view of their accomplishments.
A super keener can still make a good friend though, they're usually nice and can help you with extracurriculars. Even if he/she doesn't you should still respect them, you might end up voting for them someday.
