harvesting (or) picking copper

(verb) Exclusive to the southern Appalachian region of the United States, the term refers to the taking, or stealing, of copper material to sell to a scrap yard for a monetary gain. Of all the precious metals copper is one that yields the biggest payoff. Though nearly non-existent now, nearer the turn of the twenty-first century when copper prices were at all-time highs copper enthusiasts were cutting down power lines for the thick copper enclosed within. As a result of such exploits some people did indeed lose their lives. FYI: such practices are indeed felonious. Persons involved in such activities may find themselves incarcerated if caught up in such acts. Be careful, trust no one.

Back in the day, whenever they went out harvesting (or) picking copper, it wasn't uncommon for the entire hollow to lose electricity for a couple of days on account of Chris and Tommy sawing down several nearby power poles. Motherfucking low-life thieves caused me to miss quite a few episodes of The Montel Williams Show.

Wave phenomenon of traffic compression and decompression, the degree of which varies in relation to the proximilty of a traffic cop, caused by motorists uniformly slowing upon approaching the police and gradually speeding up the further they go after passing.

Joe knew that even though cars were crawling along right at the speed limit, it wasn't just traffic. A few quick glances confirmed it was merely coppler effect, as the radar gun was clearly visible protruding from the patrol car. It was only a matter of minutes before everyone would again be cruising at 75 mph.

Reginald Copperbottom

Reginald Copperbottom, also known as the Toppat Leader, or simply Reggie, is the current leader of the Toppat Clan (in all routes except Toppat 4 Life and Toppat King) and the central antagonist (and occasionally a protagonist) of the Henry Stickmin series.

He appears as the main antagonist of Infiltrating the Airship, an optional antagonist in Fleeing the Complex, and the overarching antagonist (and sometimes ally) of Completing the Mission.
