Aidit (verb):
The act of claiming that an obviously authentic photo or video has been altered or manipulated in order to fit a particular narrative or viewpoint.

The process of discrediting genuine media by suggesting it has been doctored, often used as a strategy to deflect attention or to propagate misinformation.
